The Mask
This 100% Mulberry Silk non-medical face mask is gentle on skin and comfortable to wear. Silk is known to possess antibacterial and antimicrobial properties inherently as it is naturally hypoallergenic. Unlike other face masks that can irritate your skin, the smooth, soft, and natural silk material hugs your face for a secure seal and is comfortable to wear for long periods of time. In addition, the nonabsorbent, nature of silk helps to keep skin hydrated.
The Disposable Filters
These masks come with 7 disposable filters made of melt blown, the same material used in surgical / healthcare masks. Melt blown is a nonwoven fabric, which means creating it does not involve joining yarn by weaving or knitting (like cotton); instead, material is mechanically, thermally, or chemically bound from separate fibers of molten polymers to form a web-like fabric. This creates a material that has smaller “pores” which means it can more effectively block airborne particles.
