The address is 6400 Montgomery St, Rhinebeck NY 12572

However, the most popular way to travel here is by Amtrak train to Rhinecliff, NY and then a taxi or Uber from the Rhinecliff Train Station to Rhinebeck Pilates. Please note, Amtrak tickets must be purchased in advance, and can also sell out.
Booking a Session

Most pilates history enthusiasts who visit Rhinebeck Pilates book a private session on the Original Pilates Equipment.
This type of session takes place on our collection of original, vintage, and archival pilates equipment and allows you to feel a variety of archival pilates equipment for yourself. You’ll work on original and archival apparatus from both Joe Pilates and Carola Trier’s studios, such as the original aluminum Cadillac, an original Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector, Baby Chair, and more. You may also work on our vintage equipment, such as a Guillotine from Drago’s Gym.
If you have specific pieces from our collection that you would like to work with during your session, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to make it happen for you.
These sessions also include historical conversation and insight, and pictures on the original equipment may be taken with prior permission during the session.
Of course, you can also book a In-Studio Pilates Session on our Gratz apparatus throughout the studio.
Please note, due to a very busy schedule at the studio, these sessions should be booked well in advance.

Planning a Longer Visit

Sean Gallagher’s Pilates Museum/Studio
Located in Becket, Massachusetts
If you’re travelling by car and visiting between the months of May-September (approximately), we highly recommend contacting Sean Gallagher to arrange for a visit and tour of his Pilates Museum/Studio, located on Joe and Clara’s original property in the Berkshires of Massachusetts.
The now fully restored studio was Joseph Pilates’ original pilates studio on his country property, and is the only original pilates studio to still exist today as a functioning studio.
You can arrange a tour of the property, a pilates session on his collection of vintage Gratz pilates apparatus, and also to try some of the original pieces from Joseph Pilates.
Sean Gallagher’s Pilates Museum/Studio is located about 1.5 hours north east of Rhinebeck, and is an easy, country drive away.

While in Becket and just down the road, you can include a visit to Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, where Joseph Pilates famously taught his Body Conditioning to dancers in the 1940s-50s. To arrange a visit, you must contact them well in advance and make an appointment.
