Kim Lee Teaching Priscilla Presley – Bar Split
This vintage Pilates print “Priscilla Bar Split” captures Kim Lee teaching Priscilla Presley on the reformer at Kinetic Integral Movement (K.I.M.) in early 1976.
Trained under Ron Fletcher in the early 1970s, Wanda Bouvier and Kim Lee became integral figures in the evolution of West Coast Pilates. After running Fletcher’s studio during his New York leave, they opened The Anatomy Asylum, later relocating to form K.I.M.—where this remarkable photograph was taken. This image, photographed by Eddie Sanderson, documents a defining moment in Pilates history—showcasing the vintage pilates reformer, celebrity culture, and the mark they all left on pilates history.
